Trending: Belted Blazers

It’s tempting to partake in every fashion trend. Especially if you like to shop or you care about fitting in. I try to avoid most trends mostly because I’m afraid of spending money on a trendy piece that will no longer be “cool” 6 months from now. Case in point: I never bought a pair of Golden Goose sneakers. There was a point in time where it seemed as if every girl in Dallas had a pair of Golden Goose shoes…that is until Veja came along and then we all (they) switched from Golden Goose to Veja. I don’t own a pair of either.

A lot of retailers have a belted blazer on their website this month. As a girl whose closet leans corporate, it’s hard for me to pass on a blazer. The black blazer pictured above sent me down a rabbit hole yesterday searching for one at a lower price point. If you like the look but don’t want to invest in a whole new jacket, you could always add a belt on top of one of the blazers you already own. J Crew has several chic belts to pick from and they won’t break the bank.
