Vineyard Vines - The Good Life

As soon as this trip was booked, I started planning my looks. What’s that saying? A leopard never changes its spots. Well, I’m the type A leopard who loves to plan. I had never traveled to Rhode Island before, but I had this vision that my wardrobe for this particular getaway would need a Vineyard Vines vibe. The origin story of Vineyard Vines is an interesting one. It has some overlap with my own recent professional path. The brand was started by two brothers who felt unfulfilled working at a desk. They decided to take a leap of faith and build a brand for the summer season they grew up loving and looking forward to throughout the rest of the year. Vineyard Vines was created to dress for what they call the good life. The days of the year you most look forward to. Days filled with activities you enjoy. That’s the vision of Vineyard Vines and what they hope to provide for their customers year after year.

One of the first things I decided to pack was this pink linen dress. I’m wearing a size Small but could have sized down one size to an Extra Small. It’s a little roomy in the bust and under the arms. They just dropped this white lace dress that is perfect for anyone else in their bridal era. A few sizes are already sold out. I love the neckline. They have so many cute new arrivals. I’ll link my favorites below.

I went for a tonal look and paired the pink dress with pink ballet flats. This particular color is sold out, but they have at least 20 other color combinations. I think this white and brown pair would be easy to wear with several of your outfits this season. I also have my eyes on this striped pair in green.

I added an oatmeal colored blazer on top but am plan on pairing the dress with a sweater next time I wear it. Once we reach summer and the weather warms up I will wear the dress on its own. For the time being, I’m having fun layering with light layers on top. My blazer is old, but I found two similar styles that would work: here and here.

Even if you don’t have a trip planned anytime soon, I hope in your day to day you’re able to find whatever the good life means to you. Maybe that’s time with your kids or a morning stop at your favorite coffee shop. I hope you allow yourself to seek whatever it is you secretly want in this season of your life. Thank you for reading my blog and supporting this dream of mine.
