Spring Shoes
Some women want flowers or chocolate for Valentine’s Day. I want shoes. I get that from my grandmother on my mom’s side.
Remember when you were little, going to the kid’s shoe store with your mom to find new sneakers? I remember the sales associate would measure my feet because back then you’re growing out of shoes left and right. I recall my younger brother running around in his sneakers in the store to test them out. Oh to be a kid again! Shopping for shoes as an adult isn’t near as fun. When we’re little, most of us want shoes that will make us fast. If they light up, even better! As adults, functionality comes into play. Because I have expensive taste when it comes to shoes, I try to select those that I can wear most often. Shoes that will match with as many of my outfits as possible.
