Engagement photo shoot
I knew I did NOT want to wear white for our engagement photos. I have never liked to blend in. Apparently, the inclination to do things on our own terms runs in my family. My Mom wore pink for her engagement photos and looked gorgeous! I was hoping to look only half as pretty as her when we got the photos back.
A big part of my job relies on my ability to share a link to shop each outfit that I wear. Bloggers and influencers make a living on dollars earned from collaborations and commission. If I can’t link my OOTD for you to shop, I cut out the commission piece of revenue for that post. Because things in the wedding arena tend to move so slow, I knew that finding an outfit that would be available to shop six weeks after the photos were taken would be a feat. I saw this dress online and was drawn to it immediately. I loved the soft, feminine style. The long flowing tulle layers. I bought it knowing there was a great chance that it wouldn’t be available for anyone to buy by the time the engagement announcement went live. Thanks to a little luck, the dress is not only still available but is also on sale!
Now that we have the photos in hand, I’m happy with the decision to wear anything other than white. Nothing about our happily ever after has been conventional and I like it that way. Wait until you hear about the outfit I have in mind for our wedding…
Xx,
Angeline
